10/10/08 Geographic situation of Granollers

Granollers, capital of the eastern Vallès region (Vallès Oriental), is situated on the Vallès plain, which forms part of the pre-coastal Catalan depression, at an average height of 148 metres above sea level. Vallès Oriental is a region with a wide range of different aspects. Mountain areas combined with large valleys full of small hills, cultivated fields, streams, towns and cities.

The Vallès Oriental presents/displays a good number of places that deserve to be visited with thoroughness. The bulk of the Montseny is, possibly, the natural space more well-known and the one than attracts more visitors, but to all the region it has of others: the Mountain range of Montnegre-Corredor (distributed with the Maresme and the Forest), the Conreria, Sant Mateu and the Cèllecs (it also includes the Barcelonès and the Maresme), Cingles de Bertí.
